Since Regulation (EU) 2026/1744 of 8 July 2026, Article 4 of the AI Act requires providers and deployers of AI systems to take measures to promote AI literacy among their staff, rather than to ensure a sufficient level of it. The text now specifies that this obligation does not require them to ensure a specific level of AI literacy for any individual.
